Toby Foulkes - Osteopath in Swaffham

Diagnose. Treat. Prescribe.
Manage. Rehabilitate. Thrive.

I help people recover from injury, manage age-related changes, cope better with autoimmune diseases, and rehabilitate from sugery.

But most importantly, I help people enjoy life, pain free.

Here’s what you can expect from me.

Diagnosis

Using a combination of Orthopaedic, joint testing + diagnostic tools, we get to the bottom of what’s causing your pain.

Lucy, Patient

“Toby helped me enormously to get out of pain, and educate me on exactly what was going on, which really put my mind at ease. My auto-immune disease is now much more managable and although not every day is pain free i'm able to better cope and do more than I ever thought I could”

Treatment

Combining Osteopathic techniques with soft tissue mobilisation, METs and years of exercise knowledge.

I aim to get to the root cause of your pain, and fix it. For good.

Dianne, Patient

“Doing the exercises Toby prescribed I was able to hold off having surgery for a few more years, and now live completely pain free.”

What to expect during your treatment.

1. Initial Consultation: In your first session, I will take the time to listen to your concerns and understand your medical history, lifestyle, and the specific issues you’re experiencing. I’ll ask questions to get a clear picture of your needs and how best to help you.

2.Physical Examination: After we’ve discussed your concerns, I will perform a physical examination. This will include orthopedic testing to assess your joints, muscles, and overall musculoskeletal health. I will also assess both your passive and active range of motion to understand your mobility and identify any restrictions or discomfort in your body.

3. Personalised Treatment: Based on the examination, I will tailor your treatment to suit your specific needs. Osteopathic treatment involves using gentle hands-on techniques such as stretching, manipulation, and massage to improve circulation, relieve muscle tension, and increase mobility. I may ask you to lie down, sit, or move in certain ways to help treat your body effectively.

4. Comfortable Environment: Throughout the session, I will ensure that you feel comfortable and at ease. While some techniques may cause mild discomfort, they should never be painful. I’ll guide you through each step, so you know exactly what to expect.

5. Follow-up & Advice: After your treatment, I will give you exercises or lifestyle advice to help support your recovery and improve your long-term well-being. Depending on your condition, we may schedule follow-up sessions to monitor your progress and adjust the treatment as needed.
